Spend time here in the summer months and stroll just 500 metres to swim in the sea and picnic in the sand dunes.
The beach at Sea Palling, 8 miles away, is popular with those who enjoy water sports, while Great Yarmouth is known for its Pleasure Beach, Golden Mile and many other traditional family attractions.
Head 5 miles to Horsey Gap to watch plump seals and their pups flopping on the sand in the wintertime.
Venture into the Norfolk Broads, 1.5 miles away, at any time of year to walk beside the picturesque waterways and spot an array of wildlife. Let yourselves into this bijou holiday home via a door leading into the farmhouse-style kitchen/diner.
Slip your beach sandals off or unlace your walking boots by the door and hang your coats or bags as you pass.
Put the kettle on for a cup of tea, then pause at the table for a spell to enjoy it over a slice of Norfolk shortcake.
