How is my payout calculated?

Your payout is based on the nightly rate you set in your Holidu Host account, minus Holidu's commission and any applicable VAT. Any discounts you offer are deducted from your set price before the payout is calculated.

What factors affect my payout?

1. Your nightly rate: The price you set in your Holidu Host account is the basis of your payout.
2. Distribution channel commission: Other booking platforms add their commission on top of your price, so it does not reduce your payout.
3. Discounts: Discounts you set up, such as 10% off stays of 7 nights or more, are deducted from your set price.
4. Holidu commission: Holidu applies a commission (for example, 6%) to your base price, which is deducted from your payout.
5. VAT: If applicable, VAT is deducted from your earnings.

Example calculation

The following example is for illustration only:

• Nightly rate set by you: €350
• Stay duration: 2 nights
• Total before deductions: €700
• Holidu commission (6%): -€42
• Payout before VAT: €658

If VAT applies, it will be deducted from this amount, so your final payout may be lower.

Why was my payout lower than expected?

Holidu uses a balance system to avoid back-and-forth transactions. If we have already paid an amount and the booking changes or is cancelled free of charge, we subtract the difference from your next payout instead of requesting a deposit.
