Your Direct Booking Website lets you accept bookings under your own brand, with calendar sync, secure payments, and guest data managed from your Holidu account. You can create it in a few guided steps and then personalize its logo, header image, text, layout, and colors at any time. This guide walks you through both processes.

Step-by-Step: Creating Your Booking Website

To create your Direct Booking Website, log in to your Holidu Host account, activate the My Booking Website channel, and follow the setup wizard. The wizard asks you to accept the terms, choose your languages, set your website name and address, and select the properties to display.

Step 1: Access your Direct Booking Website

You can reach your Direct Booking Website setup from two places in your Holidu account. Both lead to the same configuration, so use whichever you find first.

• Go to Direct Bookings, then select My website & widget in the left-hand navigation menu.
• Go to Properties, select your property, open Distribution Channels, and then choose My booking website. Click Activate channel if the channel is not yet active, or My booking website configuration if it already is.

Only primary account holders can access this setup. Secondary collaborators do not have access.

Step 2: Set up your website with the setup wizard

When you open the Direct Booking Website for the first time, the setup wizard starts. Choose Create a new website to build a complete Holidu-hosted booking website from scratch. You can also use the booking module on an existing website later.

1. Accept the terms and conditions. Log in to your Holidu Host account, select Configuration in the left menu, and scroll down to Distribution Channels. Find My Booking Website, click Activate channel, and then review and accept the terms and conditions.

   

2. Select your website languages. You can choose up to 8 supported languages. Pick the default language for your website.

   

3. Enter your domain name and website name. Choose a name for your website address. Most hosts use their property name, such as "myproperty". If you already own a domain, the wizard guides you through connecting it so your brand stays consistent.

   

4. Choose your properties. If you have more than one property, select which properties to display and set their order on the website.

5. Publish your website. Click Finish to publish your booking website. Your personalized URL is ready, and you can copy and share it right away.

   

Understanding your website address

Your website address has two parts. The first part is a name you choose, called the subdomain name. The second part is an ending you select from a list that Holidu provides. The list includes general endings, such as holiduhost.com, and endings that match specific countries, such as ferienwohnungen.de.

Together, these parts form a link such as myproperty.holiduhost.com. Guests use this link to find and book with you.

Tip: Choosing an ending that matches your guests' country can make your website feel more familiar and trustworthy. For example, a German ending works well if most of your guests come from Germany.

You can change your address later under Settings in the Booking Website tool. Keep in mind that your old address stops working once you change it. Update the link wherever you have shared it, including booking confirmations, welcome guides, social media profiles, and printed materials.

Customizable Features

After your website is live, you can personalize nearly every part of it. You can change the following elements:

• Logo: Appears on your direct booking website.
• Title: Displayed over the header image.
• Header image: Shown as the main image on your website.
• Welcome text: Appears beneath the main header image.
• Social media links: Added and shown through a toggle.
• Property content: Default images and text for each property, which you can edit.
• Your host section: A personal introduction with text and a photo.
• Layout and theme: The page layout, header image display, filter bar, and color theme.

Step-by-Step: How to Customize Your Booking Website

To customize your website, return to the Direct Booking Website from either access path described in Step 1. Then open the Homepage settings and update each section. Remember that you can only use your own images.
