Non-Refundable Policy FAQ
The Non-Refundable Policy lets Holidu hosts offer a discounted, non-refundable rate alongside their standard cancellation policy. This FAQ explains how the policy works, how to set it up in your Holidu account, and answers the most common questions hosts ask.
What Is the Non-Refundable Policy?
The Non-Refundable Policy is an alternative cancellation option you can offer in addition to your standard cancellation policy. It is designed for guests with firm travel plans, who receive a discount of between 5% and 20% on their booking in return for a non-refundable rate.
Benefits of the Non-Refundable Policy include:
- Booking appeal: Attract guests who are confident in their travel plans with a discounted rate.
- Cancellation protection: If a guest with this policy cancels, a 100% cancellation fee applies, so the booking value is not lost to a late cancellation.
How Does the Non-Refundable Policy Work?
During the booking process, guests see your standard cancellation policy along with the Non-Refundable option, if you have activated it. The Non-Refundable rate applies the discount you have set to the booking price. If a guest cancels, the 100% cancellation fee applies, so the booking is paid out as planned.
